HAPPY CANADA DAY! 2015

I'm not a poser, or a (full-blown) girly-girl,
and I don't live at the Mall
(although with my job it feels like I do,
no thanks to my boss and co-workers).
And I do know Tricia, Gwen and Mandy from Canada,
and lemme tell you:
there's a case of "a skank leading the sheep"!

I have the five greatest friends—
one of which is the best boyfriend,
that I've ever had—
I speak English and some French, but not Chinese
and I too pronounce it 'About', not 'A-boot'.

I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack,
(in case someday I finally get to explore Tibet or even.... Peru),
I believe in peacekeeping, not policing
(except as far as the Escalator Girls are concerned),
that computer geeks can become valuable allies,
and that Mall rent-a-cops should be respected at all costs!

A tuque is Jude's hat,
my piercings are jewellery,
and it IS 'bra' when you're addressing a girl—
not 'bro'—'BRA'!!
Canada is the 2nd largest land mass,
the 1st nation of dude- and dudette-ship,
and the best part of North America!
