First of all, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of you who contributed to my journal [link] your costume ideas for the gang. I was touched by all the possible suggestions you gave (including any last minute ideas I may have come up with).... But of course, I did have to narrow down the list to which costumes I could very easily render!

So without further adieu, here goes....

Based upon the original group costume idea put forth back in 2010 by HI-REZ95.

All-new costumes for the "Gang of Six" this year.... and just in time for Hallowe'en at the Mall!

And just in case you were wondering (as in, who suggested which costume):

:bulletblue: I must say I was quite impressed with your suggestions for our fave couple; again, in most cases, the costume for one complementing the costume for the other. But then I also decided to go back over all past years' journals asking for input, input which I had considered but in the end let be. A couple of you had wanted Nikki and Jonesy to be rock stars, so I thought, for Jonesy, dress him up in a suit, give him a pair of top-rimmed-style Vuarnets, and you get.... the outfit David Byrne of the Talking Heads wore in the music video for their 1981 single "Once In A Lifetime".
:music:"Same as it ever was...
 same as it ever was...":music:

:bulletpurple: ... and Nikki as another fave folk/rock starlet, Lisa Loeb, wearing the same/similar outfit she wore in the music video for her 1994 debut single "Stay".

:bulletred: Don't mind telling you I enjoyed having Jen and Wyatt dressing in complementary costumes as well! While I was contemplating your suggestions, I was listening to a local Australian radio station (streamed over the Internet, duh!), and a gem of an idea formed!

There was a 2006 movie (released in 2007), an Irish-produced musical film called "Once", written and directed by John Carney. Set in Dublin, Ireland, the naturalistic drama stars musicians Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová. Collaborators prior to making the film performing under the stage moniker The Swell Season, Hansard and Irglová composed and performed all of the original songs in the film. Two budding musicians wanting to make it big come together collaboratively (and, for a while, romantically); she would help him create an album of songs, and he would help her in her rise as a pianist.
"His music needed one thing. Her."
So here's Wyatt cosplaying as said Glen Hansard's role ("the Guy")....

:bulletorange: ... Jen as said Markéta Irglová's role ("the Girl").

Eventually, the award-winning film would give rise to the same-titled musical. Starting off-Broadway in 2010-11, it would spawn a Broadway cast (2012 thru 2015), a Dublin / West End London cast (2013 thru 2015), a U.S. tour (2013 thru 2015) and a Melbourne Theatre Company cast (2014.9.26–2014.11.16) starring Tom Parsons and Madeleine Jones in the lead roles of "Guy" and "Girl".

:bulletpink: As far back as 2012, it was suggested that Caitlin could dress up as Batgirl. A long time coming, but here she is! Suggested by htrevor27.

:bulletyellow: And how about another complementary costume for Jude? Guess who Barbara Gordon (Batgirl/Oracle) would develop a severe crush upon???

And that's the 411!

Honourable mentions (costume ideas) go to all of you whose ideas I chose not to use this year.

:pumpkin: HAPPY HALLOWE'EN! :pumpkin:
